One of our favorite weddings this year with the absolute sweetest bride ever! It was such a great day, and Kelvin and I enjoyed every minute of it. Plus we were blessed with amazing people,  great locations and gorgeous skies.  Really couldn’t ask for more.  We started the day at the Hotel Los Gatos.

Kelvin got these incredible portraits of Chris and his son by placing Chris near the window with nice side lighting. Very dramatic!

The ceremony was held at St. Mary’s Church in Los Gatos. Then we headed south to Cordevalle.

Shirley and Clete planned their wedding ceremony to take place at the stunning Stanford Memorial Church in early fall this year.  Shirley had the help of the talented Amy Wu of Feet First to plan their nuptials and all of the embellished details that came with celebrating their union.   Shirley looked stunning her in gown from Trudy’s Bridal in San Jose and prepared to surprise Clete for a special first look moment right before their ceremony.

Once inside the church, Clete and Shirley exchanged vows, and a gorgeous ceremony. They utilized both the indoor and outdoor space of Stanford for various photos and we love that their true personalities are reflected in all of their images.  This couple really understood the importance of letting themselves enjoy their moment, be who they really are, and the photos captured their spirit tenfold.

After a short trip to Sharon Heights Golf and Country Club, they began their detailed reception with a night full of celebration.  Beautiful green lei’s were given out and some of the most heart felt toasts were given by friends and family. The bride and groom surprised their guests with hula dancers that were organized beforehand and definitely made this wedding truly one of a kind!

We were so excited to photograph Kendall and Ryan’s Nestldown wedding this fall. This fun loving couple knows how to throw a great party! Here they are getting ready on the property, and of course                                         Kendall is looking absolutely GORGEOUS! Ryan looks great too!

Kendall and Ryan did a first look prior to the ceremony near the cottage. We love when couples opt for this, as everyone enjoys getting their family portraits done with ahead of time so they can spend more time enjoying guests at the cocktail hour. Nestldown has so many wonderful little nooks and crannies to take advantage of. I love the crisp shade of blue they chose for the guys ties, and then a darker navy blue for the bridesmaids.

Love the gorgeous rustic design details. Nestldown is so beautiful, it looks best when its natural beauty is enhanced and accented. Photo booth was a big hit.

Dinner was served out on the lawn, everyone laughed and enjoyed the toasts.

Helena and Dilip are an amazing couple who are so in love that our camera lens just can’t get enough of them.  Helena was very passionate about all of her wedding details and spent countless hours planning her wedding with Dilip, and the effort shows.  Truly an amazing wedding and every last detail was thought out completely!  They were married at the Villagio Inn and Spa which offers an equally beautiful setting.  The bride was one of the most relaxed brides we’ve encountered as she got ready to walk down the aisle and truly was having the time of her life!.After the final touches were complete, Helena walked outside into the vineyard setting, for some stunning bridal portraits.  She looked amazing!

All of the details Helena and Dilip personally selected and some were purchased on a trip to India.  How stunning are all of these colors and amazing accents?   During the ceremony, there were elements of Indian traditions including a saree exchange, and a formal “tie of the knot” where the groom provided the bride with a saree and then tied a necklace around the bride’s neck…

We are so happy for Helena and Dilip! Congratulations!

Paulo and Karina are an amazing couple who planned their wedding and reception to take place at the Ritz Carlton in Half Moon Bay.  We were so excited to see their wedding come to life and loved their choice of a crisp royal blue for their wedding colors.  A beautiful accent!  Rachelle looked breathtaking in her elegant gown and has just stunning hair that added to the  fairytale effect.

The ceremony was held outside of the Ritz Calrton in the beautiful outdoor setting. The aisle was adorned with white flower petals and beautiful blue florals surrounded the couple in front of their guests.   Truly a beautiful day and amazing weather that added the perfect touch.

This couple had a beautiful white/cream palette inside the ballroom which greeted guests as they entered.  I love the floating candles in the water as the table centerpieces – just gorgeous!  There were some very moving toasts given and the rest of the night guests joined in celebrating!

Rachelle and Francisco planned their beautiful day to take place at the Stanford Memorial Church and Kohl Mansion. Two locations you can’t go wrong with and certainly offer up a luxurious setting for your special day.  The bride and groom selected red accents for their wedding and had various details in place to pull all of their wedding design together.  How cute are Rachelle’s sandals?  The couple exchanged cards to one on other before the ceremony and then headed off to the church for a beautiful wedding.

We loved how spontaneous and fun the couple was and that they truly enjoyed their special day together.  It is always great to see couple’s personalized and individual touches to their wedding come through our lens.  Kelvin enjoyed captruing them and taking some very fun couple portraits!

Beautiful details greeted guests once they arrived at the Kohl Mansion for a lavish reception.  The natural elements of fresh green leaves and red florals embraced the fall season as well as design of this wedding.   I love the berries in their floral arrangements and it was perfect for the season!  Guests later enjoyed a cake designed by the bride and groom followed by celebration on the dance floor.

Courtnie and Sean are a fun-loving, amazing couple who planned their wedding to take place over the span of a few locations in San Francisco. They started out getting ready at the Omni Hotel where the bride and groom each took some getting shots and their individual portraits.  Courtnie looked stunning in her gown from Priscilla of Boston and was gorgeous! Sean was equally handsome in his tuxedo and they both got ready for their big “first look” moment down at the pier near the San Francisco Ferry Building. Once at the pier, they waited to see each other, and shared a very special first look moment. What a gorgeous day and amazing weather as well!   They were stunning and had onlookers from all around watching them take their photos.  What an exciting day!

They then headed to the chapel at Old St. Mary’s Cathedral in San Francisco and had a gorgeous ceremony.  Their accents of navy, oranges, creams, and pinks were truly gorgeous and perfect for the fall weather.  The church was stunning and the guests were moved by the marriage of this couple and we could feel it throughout the day.Once the ceremony was complete, everyone headed over to the Julia Morgan Ballroom and enjoyed a luxurious evening that was precisely planned by the bride and groom. Gorgeous centerpieces and decorative accents personalized the space to Sean and Courtnie’s style as a couple.  They then celebrated the rest of the evening on the dance floor!

Grooms are a focal piece to the wedding day and sometimes can be overlooked a bit.  But, we think they sure do look sharp in their suits and tuxedos and wanted to feature a post highlighting some best-dressed grooms we’ve encountered.  Men can have an equally fun time selecting accessories for their wedding look that can personalize their style a bit.  Everything from the boutonniere, style/color of the tie, type of suit, pins, and we’ve even seen unique cufflinks.  We hope you enjoy these handsome fellows attire and their groomsmen style as well!

A great way to personalize your male style is by the color of suit you select or your tie.  This is where men can have a lot of personal style added to their wedding day outfit.  We’ve seen everything from black, grey, and tan suits worn and can’t say one looks better over the other to our lens – it’s all just personal style and choice!  It is also important to think about how your outfit will blend on the wedding day itself. Are you getting married outdoors, in a natural setting? Maybe a less formal look is more appropriate.  Or, maybe you are getting married in a formal church and having a ballroom reception that might require a dressy suit or tuxedo.  It’s all relative to where you get married, the style of your wedding, and of course making sure your bride is having her dream day as well.

One of the cutest things at a wedding are seeing any children that are part of the wedding party all dressed up and walking down the aisle.  Equally cute are the pillows that adorn their hands as they walk towards the bride and groom.  Flowers, fabric, ribbon, buttons, stripes, embroidered…the sky is the limit when it comes to adorable ring bearer pillow ideas.

Details, Details, Details….that is what we all love about weddings.  Every couple’s ideas and inspiration for their wedding-scape is entirely different from the next and the details are where true personalities flare.  From the color, style, and product choices that couples pick there are endless ideas and inspiration out there to select from.  We love it all!
