Kelvin photographed another amazing couple recently for their engagement session at the Palace of Fine Arts. Their wedding is on the first day of next year, and we are really excited about it. We hear they are serving some really cool Brazilian ice cream…

This is my favorite image from the session. I love love love how Kelvin framed Leandro tightly into the upper right hand corner. Don’t be surprised if you see me playing with this type of a shot in the future…Kelvin never ceases to inspire me…
The Palace of Fine Art has such interesting architectural highlights; the backdrop provides good variety to the images and lots of punch. This little spot in the grass gives the Palace a fresh look, not the way you normally see it.

Notice how one person in stripes, one person in solids adds color and texture without too much visual noise.

As you can see, we’re currently addicted to back-lighting. Don’t expect that trend to stop anytime soon. See how the light enhances her hair and gives the image a sort of dreamy glow?

Are you picking up visually on how the pink in Valerie’s jacket matches the color of her shirt? Subtle yes, but it creates a cohesiveness for the images.

It’s difficult to see in this image, but tailored shoes with jeans creates a polished look.

And we’ll close with a sunset silhouette with the bridge in the far off distance. Congratulations Valerie & Leandro!
