Karen & Eric’s wedding took place at this amazingly gorgeous golf course called Cordevalle. We started off in one of the cottages where Karen was getting dressed, and then photographed the couple’s private meeting. The couple has a very relaxed, quiet way about their relationship. Amy Nichols coordinated the events of the day so Karen & Eric could relax and enjoy themselves.

I love the natural framing for this image above.

Intimate moment between the couple. Those are my favorites!

Karen looked amazing in her wedding dress by Amsale. I love the front detail on the empire waist. The bride’s makeup & hair by Sarah Hyde.

Breathtaking location with the hills and perfect blue skies in the Santa Cruz mountains. Minimal ceremony details needed.

Fuchsia and lime green gave a nice pop of color. Florals by Floramor.

A gorgeous blue sky and lots of wind!

The tree to the right is Eric’s favorite tree on the golf course.

It got so very cold and windy as the sun set. Karen was such a trooper, she really wanted great portraits and suffered through the weather in order to get some gorgeous sunset portraits. Totally paid off!

Decor was simple and elegant, allowing the families to be the focus of the evening.

Dinner was fantastic! Due to some unknown mistake, we were not seated in the room, but Eric actually interrupted his own dinner to find us a seat at a table. It was so thoughtful! By seating us in the room with the guests, we don’t miss anything unplanned such as an impromptu toast, and we also get a sense for the mood and relationships of the guests and families. The photography becomes that much more intimate when we have a sense of people by spending a bit of time observing.

Closing with a final sunset portrait taken just as the sun slipped away. Congrats to you both Karen & Eric!

I love this; it reminds me of ‘Gone with the Wind’.
Hi Jessica, thanks for the compliment! By the way, Geoff is originally from Tottenham (near New Market).
