All Saints Church & Marriott Wedding | Joy + Jon

by erin on December 29, 2010

We are so happy to have had this year filled with the joys of working with such wonderful and creative clients!   It is a time of season to give thanks and so we want to thank all of our clients, vendors, friends, family, and readers for their ongoing loyalty to Geoff White Photography.  We are also excited to announce that as the 2010 year comes to a close Geoff White’s Studio Manager, Erin Powell-Green, will now be writing and sharing various client projects with Lara on our blog!

We are so excited for 2011 and what the New Year has to bring, so we thought we’d feature a wedding that truly captured the spirit of the couple and the meaning of festivity since it is so close to year end.  I have had the distinct pleasure to work with Joy and Jon, who are such an amazingly wonderful couple, and whose love for each other has been felt by our entire team.

Joy and Jon were married at the All Saints Church in Hayward and held their reception at the San Mateo Marriott.  It was a gorgeous venue and their church was ever powerful in itself as a perfect location for them to be married. Kelvin captured their wedding and said he could feel the spirit of this couple and their families throughout the entire day.  All of us at the studio were equally moved when we looked at the photographs because you could feel the spirit of their love for each other in the pictures.  Joy was gorgeous and wore a stunning gown by Cymbeline of Paris and looked radiant as she walked down the aisle.  There was a plethora of details in every part of the day including gorgeous favors in the bride’s favorite shade of aubergine, accented by a sage green, and orchids to seal the box.  We loved all of the glamorous touches to their day.

Joy and Jon’s wanted a very romantic, detailed, and festive design to their reception with various accents of purples weaved in throughout all the elements.  They worked with Wedding Planner, Elisheva Basseri, who brought their vision to life and literally transformed their ballroom into another world.   Elisheva kept their day flawless and brought their fantasy wedding to life.  It was filled with heavenly scented floral arrangements, cascading garlands in pinks and purples, and even standing floor lamps to encase the head table.   All of the floral arrangements were designed by Nicole Ha and every vase and table were full of lush flowers.

What’s not to love?  We felt like we were in another world, the world of Joy and Jon, whose love for each other filled the room to add a spirited that captivated all! Congratulations, Joy and Jon!
